Last Saturday, November 4th, I had the opportunity to attend Sunset Tequila Festival, and I had a blast! It was a beautiful day, the music was great, and the tequila was flowing.
The festival took place at the Mizner Park Amphitheater, a beautiful outdoor venue in Boca Raton. I started out walking around the festival grounds and was amazed by all the tequila brands. There were over thirty tequila and mezcal brands represented at the event, so there was something for everyone. From the tequila brands to food stands to souvenir vendors there was definitely a lot I had to try.
The live music was great, and the tequila competition was a lot of fun to watch. The contestants were very creative with their cocktails, and it was tough to choose a winner. After the competition, I continued to explore the festival grounds and made sure I saw everything the festival had to offer, which sure was a lot.
I stopped by a few booths to sample some of the tequilas available, and I was really impressed with the variety and quality. The samples varied from smooth blancos to smoky aƱejo, I even had the opportunity to try a ghost pepper tequila. Next, we moved on to the food stands, which had the perfect offerings to pair with the tequila samples. I enjoyed some delicious birria tacos as well as some chips and guacamole from a few of the food stands. To finish off the night, we stopped by the Santo Dulce food truck for a halo churro, which was so good that we had to go back and grab a second one!
After I had my fill of tequila, I headed over to the main stage to watch some live music. There were a few different bands playing, and they all had the crowd dancing. They were so much fun!
Overall, I had a fantastic time at the Sunset Tequila Festival. It was a great opportunity to sample a variety of tequilas and mezcals, learn about tequila from experts, and enjoy some delicious food and music. If you’re a fan of tequila, I highly recommend checking out the Sunset Tequila Festival next year!
