The vibrant city of Miami is pulsing with anticipation! Just when fans thought the III Points Festival couldn’t possibly surprise them any further, the festival has outdone itself. Having teased music lovers with an initial lineup back in April, the III Points Festival in Miami has finally revealed its full roster for the 2023 edition. This sonic soiree is scheduled to ignite the stages at Mana Wynwood Convention Center on October 20-21.
Leading the lineup are iconic figures Iggy Pop and Fred again.. who are bound to deliver electrifying performances. Yet, the surprises don’t stop there. Joining the headline act are EDM maestro Skrillex, the ever-evocative Grimes — who will treat the audience to a “conceptual Elf.Tech ARt rAIve” — and the rhythmically enchanting Black Coffee.
However, the musical wonders of III Points go far beyond these stars. Newly added to the roster are the soulful harmonies of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, the eclectic Caribou, techno pioneer Jeff Mills, an epic back-to-back set from Âme and Dixon, and dynamic duos such as John Summit with Green Velvet. Fans of more ambient sounds will be mesmerized by Explosions in the Sky’s performance of ‘The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place’.
The spectrum of genres is vast, with other artists like Dom Dolla, Hudson Mohawke collaborating with Tiga, the hauntingly beautiful Alice Glass, the rhythmic beats of Aluna, and the distinctive sounds of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, to name just a few.
This stellar lineup is further complemented by artists like The Dare, Jockstrap, Nia Archives, Tirzah, Two Shell, and more. These newly announced names will be sharing the stage with previously unveiled artists, such as the ethereal Caroline Polachek, eclectic beats from SBTRK, Jamie Jones’ house anthems, the dreamy rhythms of The Blaze, and the intriguing sounds of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, among others.
Music aficionados also have a unique experience awaiting them – Despacio. This bespoke disco, the brainchild of Soulwax/2ManyDJ’s Stephen and David Dewaele and LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, promises an immersive experience and will be open throughout the festival’s duration.
There’s no denying that III Points 2023 is shaping up to be an unforgettable musical extravaganza. As we countdown to October, Miami’s streets, coffee shops, and lounges are abuzz with excitement, each person eagerly discussing which acts they’re most looking forward to.
So, whether you’re a returning III Points devotee or a first-timer curious about the festival’s magic, this year promises a sonic journey through genres, beats, and rhythms that will stay with you long after the last note fades.
