Swim Week is nearly here, and so is the portal to another universe. On May 26, South Beach’s M2 nightclub will be remade into something Vicarious and shimmering—a world called Planet Vicarious, where affirmations walk the runway and women reclaim the mirror, one look at a time.
Founded by Carrie Blackmore, Vicarious is a lingerie and lifestyle brand built on self-love and empowerment, and it has never just sold underwear. It’s always sold a feeling—confidence embodied in a garment, an act of self-love no one else needs to see, and a personal reminder—worn, not whispered—that hot doesn’t need permission. For its upcoming show, the brand is diving into outer space. Metallics. Heat. A 60-foot runway in a reimagined venue. And this year, swimwear returns—elevated, cosmic, and unmistakably Vicarious.
“Miami is raw, it’s radiant, and it’s unapologetic,” Carrie told South Florida Digest ahead of the show. “And that’s what Vicarious is too.”
For Miami Swim Week 2025, Planet Vicarious isn’t just one night. It’s a three-day orbit of energy, casting, and community. On May 24, the final casting call at M2 will bring new muses into the Vicarious galaxy. Then, on May 25, things soften and slow down at a wellness and mindfulness activation at Lincoln Eatery—an offering of presence before the spectacle.
The main event on May 26 promises a sensory shift. Guests will start in an open cocktail space before being ushered into the transformed heart of M2, where the catwalk stretches like a cosmic runway. Expect cosmic-inspired textures, curve-conscious cuts, and a universe built from the inside out.
What Carrie and her team are building isn’t just a show. It’s a felt experience. A reminder, as she puts it, that “you don’t have to compete with anyone—you’ve got this.”
Proceeds from the show will benefit Embrace, a local nonprofit supporting individuals with mental illness and developmental disabilities. Vicarious may be about beauty, but it doesn’t stop at skin-deep.
So yes—there will be metallic bikinis, surprise moments, and a lot of shimmer. But there will also be something rarer: a fashion moment that dares to hold emotional resonance.
