Shoes for a Cure, the fashion and footwear industry’s leading fundraiser for breast cancer research and treatment, returns to the Miami Design District from October 16 to 19, 2025, for its second year. Now in its 31st year, this signature event, which first began in Central Park in 1994, continues to expand nationally, combining luxury retail with a mission that saves lives.
This year’s event will feature more than 20 world-renowned fashion houses, including Tom Ford, Valentino, and Ferragamo. Each brand will host exclusive shopping activations and private client experiences designed to inspire generosity and drive awareness for women’s health. A portion of proceeds from all purchases throughout the weekend will directly benefit the Braman Family Breast Cancer Institute at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Health System.
“Shoes for a Cure is on a mission to extend its reach beyond New York City through the Miami chapter, building on three decades of success,” said Sandi Mines, President of the Fashion & Footwear Charitable Foundation. “Our industry is powered by women, and nearly all of us have been impacted by breast cancer in some way. This event allows us to come together through our shared love of fashion to support research, care, and hope.”
Dr. Stephen Nimer, Director of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, expressed his gratitude: “Sylvester is honored to partner again with the Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation for Shoes for a Cure. This exclusive shopping experience with some of the world’s most desirable brands raises essential funds for cancer research and patient support programs. We look forward to an inspiring evening of fashion, purpose, and friendship at Mother Wolf Miami.”
The Miami Design District, recognized for its cultural and philanthropic leadership, proudly renews its partnership with Shoes for a Cure for a second year. Craig Robins, President and CEO of Dacra, emphasized the significance of the collaboration: “Women’s health and cancer research deserve our collective attention. Partnering with Shoes for a Cure allows us to leverage fashion’s influence for real impact in our community. We are proud to stand with Sylvester, FFCF, and the visionary brands making a difference.”
The weekend will open with an exclusive dinner at Mother Wolf Miami, the acclaimed restaurant by Chef Evan Funke and Ten Five Hospitality. The intimate setting will serve as the perfect backdrop for an evening celebrating fashion, philanthropy, and community. Guests will also participate in a silent auction featuring rare, priceless, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as VIP access to major art and sporting events, ultra-luxury getaways at five-star resorts, and exclusive fashion items. Bidding will open to the public on October 1, 2025.
This year’s fundraising committee features an extraordinary group of philanthropists and style leaders including Nabil Aliffi, Eva Hughes, Kinga Lampert, Marile Lopez, Jayne Sylvester Malfitano, Craig Robins, and Carrie Rubin. Their influence and dedication are expected to elevate the event’s reach, deepening the relationship between fashion and its impact on cancer research and patient care.
As one of Miami’s most meaningful weekends of the year, Shoes for a Cure Miami 2025 is more than a shopping event. It is a celebration of unity, resilience, and purpose through fashion. Attendees will not only experience luxury at its finest but also contribute to groundbreaking research that continues to save lives every day.
