AVA MediterrAegean officially arrived in Coconut Grove last night with a grand opening celebration hosted by Riviera Dining Group. The evening introduced Miami to the newest restaurant and private members club in RDG’s portfolio. The atmosphere carried the spirit, flavors, and coastal beauty of Greece, giving guests a night filled with artful cuisine, immersive design, and lively entertainment.
The event unfolded across AVA’s newly revealed space designed by Lazaro Rosa Violan. Natural textures, glowing marble, soft lighting, and lush greenery created an environment that felt both modern and deeply inspired by the Aegean. Guests moved freely between the indoor dining room and terrace while enjoying premium culinary presentations that showcased AVA’s refined Greek identity.
Caviar displays, a tuna carving station, ice sculptures, seafood towers, Cinco Jotas, mezze platters, pizza and risotto stations, a pastry table, and passed canapés gave attendees a full taste of the new concept. Signature cocktails and premium spirits circulated throughout the space, setting a warm tone as guests explored every corner of the restaurant.
Entertainment elevated the night even further. REKULTURA, the acclaimed Greek folktronic band, delivered a captivating live performance that blended heritage with modern sound. RDG’s resident DJ kept the energy high with rhythmic sets that matched the vibrant mood of the celebration.
A highlight of the evening was the official reveal of AVA MM Members Club. This exclusive retreat sits discreetly inside the flagship property and introduces a Japanese inspired culinary program, elevated mixology, cigar and wine lockers, and a curated calendar of intimate cultural programming. It represents the next evolution in RDG’s approach to sophisticated lifestyle hospitality.
Notable attendees included RDG’s leadership team. Founder and CEO Gregory Galy, Partner and Chief Brand Officer Marine Giron Galy, Partner and Head of Culinary Chef Michaël Michaelidis, Partner and Chief Financial Officer Fabien Guardiola, Partner and Chief Sales Officer Michael Ridard, and Partner and Chief People Officer Robert Blasi welcomed guests throughout the night. The event drew MM Members and a select group of tastemakers who represent the growing community behind RDG’s expanding vision.
Since launching MILA Miami in 2020, RDG has broadened its presence with celebrated openings including AVA MediterrAegean in Winter Park, CASA NEOS, and CLAUDIE. Headquartered in Miami, the group continues to redefine modern Mediterranean inspired hospitality with a blend of meticulous cuisine, inspired design, and high energy atmosphere.
