Riviera Dining Group (RDG) is unveiling its highly anticipated flagship, AVA MediterrAegean, opening November 20 in Coconut Grove. Following the success of its Winter Park location, the Miami outpost redefines the dining experience through a blend of exceptional Mediterranean cuisine, immersive design, and a lively yet sophisticated atmosphere.
Founded by Gregory Galy, RDG is known for destination dining experiences that blur the line between restaurant and cultural space. The new Coconut Grove flagship expands that vision, introducing AVA MM, a discreet members-only retreat that extends the brand’s spirit of connection and exclusivity.
A Culinary Tribute to the Mediterranean
At the heart of AVA’s culinary philosophy are Chef Michaël Michaelidis, RDG Partner and Head of Culinary, and Executive Chef Frédéric Aumeunier, whose resume includes Michelin-starred establishments such as Per Se, La Maison Pic, and Pineapple & Pearls. Chef Aumeunier channels his Mediterranean heritage into a menu that captures both the purity and vibrancy of the Cycladic region.
Guests can expect refined yet soulful dishes such as Aegean Tuna Ceviche, Mediterranean Seabass Carpaccio, and Chilean Seabass Kakavia, as well as indulgent options like Lobster Pasta, 32oz Tomahawk, and Lamb Moussaka. Signature sharing plates, including Whole Branzino Spetziota and Prawns Kadaifi with black garlic emulsion, invite convivial dining, while mezze and salads highlight bright herbs, olive oil, and fresh citrus.

A Masterclass in Design and Atmosphere
Designed by Lazaro Rosa-Violán, AVA MediterrAegean brings together Greek island minimalism and Miami coastal elegance. The space unfolds across three distinct experiences: an open-air terrace, a sculpted dining room, and an intimate members’ sanctuary.
Natural Mediterranean materials like plaster, travertine, and coral stone harmonize with handcrafted ceramics, woven rattan, and oak millwork. A sun-washed palette of whites and earth tones sets the stage for sculptural arches, bespoke lighting, and a glowing rainforest marble bar that evokes a Greek sunset. Commissioned artworks, including silk tapestries and handcrafted stuccos, turn the interiors into a living gallery.
The terrace is softened by linen canopies and lush greenery, while AVA MM offers a contrast—a shaded sanctuary defined by bronze accents, cigar and wine lockers, and quiet sophistication.
AVA MM: The Members’ Sanctuary
Hidden within the property, AVA MM Coconut Grove represents the fourth location in RDG’s MM Members Club community. It is a retreat that merges nature and design, featuring hand-polished walls, ethnic sconces, and organic materials that flow into the surrounding landscape.
Members enjoy a Japanese-inspired menu exclusive to the club, along with curated cocktails, rare vintages, and private cellar selections. Beyond fine dining, AVA MM curates a cultural calendar of chef-led dinners, intimate tastings, and lifestyle activations—positioning it as a gathering place for connection and creativity.
